When you come to the realisation that your child may have a learning difficulty it can be extremely overwhelming and hard to know where to start.
Here are some resources that will help you find what you need.

SPELD NSW
SPELD NSW* is a not-for-profit organisation offering support, assistance and advice to children and adults with specific learning difficulties, their families, tutors, teachers and schools.
SPELD NSW operates a free referral and advice InfoLine for families of students and adults with learning difficulties. SPELD NSW also provides workshops and resources for families and offers psychological assessment of specific learning difficulties.

ADA
The Australian Dyslexia Association Inc. is a registered Non-profit Incorporated Association. The ADA operates nationally, in every state. The ADA is focussed on the well being, identification and instruction/treatment of dyslexia and related language-based differences. The ADA does not support or endorse any one method or program but supports an evidence based approach that utilises a direct, explicit, systematic, structured and multisensory teaching approach for individuals with dyslexia or a related difference.

CODE READ NETWORK
Code Read Dyslexia Network is an Australian Not For Profit organisation established in 2017 by a passionate group of parents, carers, educators and health professionals who have all been impacted by dyslexia. Code Read Dyslexia Network has a vision for all people with dyslexia to be understood,
acknowledged, empowered and to have equal access to opportunity. To achieve its vision, Code Read Dyslexia Network has a mission to raise awareness about dyslexia; support and empower those with dyslexia; work with government and other decision makers to improve the education system and workplaces.
